It's that time of the year when many of us yearn for a tropical vacation on a warm beach to escape the depths of Winter, but then get snapped back to reality with the joys and demands of life and work.

Here at EAN we have just wrapped up our annual EOFYS Membership sale, and we wanted to give a big thank you for making this our biggest ever membership drive. We are getting ready for our biggest ever Canberra Conference later this month, along with the upcoming Brisbane and Melbourne events. We have a heap of networking events coming up around the country so hopefully we see you at one of these social nights out.

A lucky group of EAN members were escorted through airport customs at the Air Canada Gate, Brisbane International Airport for a breakfast meet. Guests were treated to an exclusive tour on board the Air Canada Dreamliner and a behind the scenes look at Business class, with a sneaky tour of the crew cabins and the cockpit, followed by a tasty brunch in the Plaza Premium Lounge, Brisbane.

Applying the Konmari method to your desk

A tidy, organised desk can provide you with a moment of calm in the middle of a busy and ever-changing schedule. Achieving a space that you consider a sanctuary isn't easy though. However, the Konmari method, a recent revelation for tidying and sorting spaces, might just give you the help you need.

• Figure out your space - Envision an area that you'd enjoy working in. Consider your habits, and how to make the space more conducive for the good ones while discouraging the bad ones.

• Clear out - Put aside some time to empty out your workspace. This means everything - including the final loose paperclip in the bottom drawer of your desk. Sort out into set categories, such as stationary, miscellaneous items, mementos, etc.
