Our  brand new Conference Series titled - 'The Evolving EA - Innovative & Adaptive' kicked off in Sydney recently and it was so successful that it sold out. The Canberra program has just been released closely followed by Brisbane and Melbourne - so stay tuned.  We have a heap of networking events coming up around the country so hopefully we see you at one of these social nights out.

Improving your conflict management skills

Conflict is something that the majority of people don't enjoy. However, at some point or another it's likely that you'll encounter a scenario in which you can't avoid it. Resolving the situation successfully is the ideal result, but in order to do so you need to develop your conflict management skills. Here are three techniques to help improve them.

• Address conflict early - If you're certain that there is a problem that needs dealing with, don't let it fester.

• Focus on achieving a satisfactory result - Instead of caring about who's right, or winning the argument, turn your attention to resolving the issue in a way that respects the needs and opinions of both parties.

• Don't drag up history - It's easy for conflict to escalate when old issues cloud your judgement. Focus on the present, and attempt to deal with the matter at hand rather than adding to it with previous grudges.

The four stages of a habit

Habits are a useful tool when employed correctly. However, creating them or breaking bad ones is challenging. Breaking down how a habit works helps you to understand how they form, what you can do to change them, or how to build better ones.

Air Canada's Pacific network will expand once again later this year with the addition of new, non-stop, seasonal flights between Auckland and Vancouver.

The new Auckland-Vancouver service will operate four times a week between 14 December 2019 and late March 2020. Passengers will travel on Air Canada's state-of-the-art flagship Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which offers a choice of three cabins: Economy, Premium Economy and Signature Class (featuring Air Canada's lie-flat, all-aisle access Signature suites).

As with Air Canada's non-stop services to Vancouver from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, flights from Auckland are timed to conveniently connect in Vancouver with Air Canada services to a variety of destinations across Canada and the United States, including New York-Newark.
