Congratulations on making it to December, in what has been one of the busiest years I can remember. It seems like 2019 has been a noisy year, with so much going on around the world and so many different people having so many different opinions on things. With only a few weeks until Christmas I hope you can see the finish line, although if you are like me then often 6 weeks worth of tasks are crammed into these 3 weeks.
Some people spend time with family over the break, whilst some like to do whatever they can to avoid spending time with family. Some people like to do nothing whilst others take advantage of some down time to travel far and wide. Others forge ahead and keep working. Whatever you choose to do, we wish you a safe and happy Christmas.

Sydney - Thursday 28 November 2019
City of Sydney/Restaurant Associates hosted a remarkable evening at iconic Town Hall, Sydney. Starting off outside enjoying spritzers and gorgeous canapes on the Marconi Terrace. We were treated to a simply impressive seafood trolley, selfie bot snaps and a saxophonist.
From here we moved inside to a room reveal with a live display dessert station – incredible.
We are very excited to have launched the brand new conference theme for 2020, which kicks off in Sydney in March. Next Year's theme is 'The Human Executive Assistant - Combining your head and heart with your skills and knowledge to deliver the key intangible benefits in the EA role'.
We also held the first of our brand new 2 Day Strategic Partnership Course in Adelaide and we were blown away by the atmosphere as the EAs in attendance made it an event to remember. In fact based on feedback from this event we have just now rolled out this 2 Day Masterclass right around the country - and even coming to cities we don't often get a chance to come to like Newcastle, Hobart, Darwin and the Gold Coast.
We are busy preparing our brand new 1 Day Event Symposium for Sydney - this event will be on December 9th so if you are thinking of coming you had better act quick.

Hi everyone, I am an EA to an EGM who I have supported for 3 years now. He is often viewed as a tough and somewhat difficult person however, over time I have built a very good working relationship with him and I really enjoy working with him.
How long has it taken you to find your next job?
Hi all,
After being employed at one company over 19 years, as an EA, I'm finding it difficult to even get an interview with prospective employers.
I've been applying for different types of EA roles (mainly online - Seek/LinkedIn & applied with several recruiters) for the last month without success.
Wondering how long it's taken others to find new employer? Not sure if my longevity at previous employer is an issue (although I've held 3 different roles).
