EAN’s New Website
With a great new modern look and feel, and much better use of screen space, our new website is easier to use and has a number of great new features.
We have a new article blog section. The Chat Room has had some significant improvements including the addition of category selection and searches and we have also included an Event Calendar that includes all upcoming EAN functions, educational events and conferences that have to date been scheduled in plus the ability to search these by type of event.
In the Chat Room, when you add a post now you will be able to choose a category to assign it to, out of drop down option of 13 categories, and every post that has been added over the past two and half years has been reviewed and we have selected categories for those. This means that other users can now review and search for all posts from the past 28 months based on the nature of the subject matter.
Additionally, our Supplier Directory section has been completely revamped to make it easier to use and review but also so that the information included about each supplier could be massively enhanced – including a full description of their services.
The supplier Directory has also been culled from almost 200 different types of suppliers down to 36 which makes it much easier to use. The categories we got rid of were those ones which, over the years, have not received as much interest and use from members.
These are just a few of the new features but we are sure you will find all the rest.
Member Only Resources
The new site is fairly intuitive but the main thing that has changed is that every section is now accessed from tool bars or drop down selections at the top of the site rather than on both the side and top. And the main aspect of this we wanted to highlight is that specific member only resources are now accessed from a drop down that emanates from a Yellow Box at the very top of the page beside the search function that is entitled Member Resources.
The very first option within that is entitled My Account and this is where you now click to find any of your personal detail information, manage your member level, manage email preferences etc. and to check on any invoice payments or receipts.
Beside each Menu option it advises whether the option is available to different membership levels – Associate Member, International Member or Full Member.
Everything else we trust is self-explanatory so we hope you have no trouble in finding things and using the site.
As you can imagine, being a new site we are expecting we will find some glitches that need minor adjustments over the next week or so.
